"I usually mention my health and how challenging it can be, but I’ve never gone into detail. Honestly, I didn’t want to, but since you all are supporting me and paying me to write, I think it’s only fair to explain.

I have a genetic condition called hereditary hemochromatosis (HH), which can affect redheads and their descendants due to a mutation in the HFE gene. This mutation causes the body to absorb too much iron, leading to an overload in organs like the liver, heart, and joints. Symptoms include chronic pain, fatigue, a weakened immune system, and an increased risk of organ damage if left untreated.

In my case, I was unlucky enough to inherit this, but at least I wasn’t born soulless like my mother and the other redheads in my family. Unfortunately, combined with other health issues, this makes my condition less stable.

I’ll do my best to keep posting regularly, but like this week, there may be times when I can’t be as active. I hope you understand, and I’ll try to make up for any absences. I appreciate your support and hope you enjoy the chapters I just posted and the upcoming ones."
