Added 2025-01-25 10:40:12 +0000 UTCThere is a significant difference in using a prism versus a waist-level viewfinder. For half my life, I shot through the viewfinder like in a standard camera. But then I realized that in medium format, the whole trick is to look through a magnifying glass - from the top down. That way, you feel more detached from the subject and it's easier to assess the composition.
