1/25/21 Release for Can You Hear Us & General Update

All of us at Malcontent News are shocked and horrified at the despicable events that unfolded last week in Washington D.C. As we are learning more, the armed insurrection came within seconds of destroying our legislative branch and with it our freedoms and government.
We value the First Amendment, and one of our core principles is the defense of the right to free speech, the right to assembly, the right to worship, the right to seek redress of grievances against the government, and most importantly, the freedom of the press. Nowhere in the first amendment is the attempted overthrow of the government, hatred for racial, gender identification, sexual preference, or political belief to the point of calling for and attempting the murder of these groups, a form of protected free speech.
We mourn the loss of two police officers related to the domestic violence on Wednesday and hope that the architects and perpetrators are held accountable for their actions. January 6, 2021, was one of the darkest days in American history, and we went through it - together.
Our coverage in the last week has been hijacked due to political and election issues, and a number of stories and projects were put on pause. We are a small team and only have so much bandwidth. We are proud of the over 15 hours of coverage we provided on Wednesday and Thursday, which resulted in over 6,000 concurrent viewers at one point early Thursday morning. It was a major milestone.
For our Patreons Can You Hear Us early release will be on 1/25/21.
We will also schedule a behind the scenes Ask Me Anything webinar for the week of 1/19/21 - stay tuned for that. As a special thank you, we will open up the January behind the scenes Ask Me Anything to all Patreons.
As for field streaming. Our intelligence indicated that January 10 and 11 will be relatively quiet in Olympia, and we opted not to stream. One of our field producers went to Olympia on Sunday, but things were quiet. Due to operational security, and active threats against the media, we will neither confirm nor deny if we plan to have any resources in Olympia, Salem, or Washington D.C. on 1/17, 1/19, or 1/20.
Once again, thank you to everyone for your support. We remain committed to our three missions.
