Objective? The South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant with three reactors about 30 kilometers away. Take Voznesensk, you can control the plant.
The Russians inserted a large, well-equipped force, with good training. Some of their best forces. With a smaller force and likely generous amounts of intelligence from NATO, the Russian forces were obliterated and have been pushed completely out of the area.
A lot of equipment was abandoned and the assessment is just beginning. Press has been on the scene and has brought receipts.
Military operations for the Russians in the Mykolaiv Oblast appear to have collapsed.
