The base has been struck by multiple artillery strikes over the last two weeks, destroying an estimated two-dozen aircraft, 16 in a single strike, and killing a Russian Major General.
Additionally, Ukrainian forces are strengthen their position southeast of Mykolaiv.
It appears our source is right about an ongoing offensive.
