Russia-Ukraine Flash Report - 4/5/22 13:00 PDT

Ukrainian forces and a handful of journalists have made their way into Borodyanka, a suburb to the west of Kyiv. The town was considered strategic for Russian and Chechen forces to maintain supply lines from the Belarus border to Irpin. It was supposed to be a supply hub for the invasion of Kyiv.

I continue to operate on "I know things," which, since there are a lot of new people, means I have information from a trusted source that I can't share yet. The disclosure of that information would break the trust, and I would lose a source.

Early reports of rape and random shooting of any civilian on the street are trickling out now. The city itself is in absolute ruins. Nothing was spared. Over 300 dogs in an animal shelter were allowed to starve to death, and aid workers were prevented from serving them. The acting mayor stated at least 200 people are missing in the rubble and are feared dead.

There aren't a lot of people left in the city, which is almost motionless.

I know things.

I’ll watch them when I get a chance. Outside references, in my opinion, are a good thing, they help me to learn the things I don’t know, and thus grow. When I have a chance (not right now with dinner pending and three rambunctious children) I’ll watch and get back to you. Thanks in advance for continuing the discussion!

It is a great podcast, and the Maj General did his job well!

I apologize for posting outside references on this forum. Not sure the proper procedure, but they are, in my opinion, enlightening.

I would also recommend this podcast to anyone interested in understanding the “why” behind the Russian failure. The guest is a Marine Major General (Ret) who spend decades training the Ukrainian army to fight this exact war. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/war-stories-with-preston-and-sayre/id1517670899?i=1000555445561
