Russia-Ukraine Flash Report 07 SEP 2022 09:15 PDT - 3 Hour Sleep Edition

Kharkiv/Izyum: Here is the map 

• Ukrainian forces have advanced to Shevchenkove during the 3 hours I was asleep, another 7 kilometers - heavy fighting is ongoing, Ukraine is in the city
• Ukraine has broken through Russian defenses southeast of Chuhuiv (southeast of Kharkiv) and has advanced at least to Chkalovke, and has likely moved all the way to Shevchenkove
• The advances are happening so fast that neither Ukrainian nor Russian sources are sure if the troops fighting in Shevchenkove came from the west or the south
• Ukrainian artillery and rockets from HIMARS are reportedly continuously hitting Kupyansk, including troop convoys and concentrations - a lot of Russian casualties
• Izyum is also under near-continuous strikes by HIMARS rockets
• A Russian Lt. Colonel has been captured near Balakiya
• Ukrainian forces have taken pictures of themselves in the arsenal at Balakiya, indicating they control the northeastern part of the city
• There are reports that Ukraine controls Balakiya, and there are massive Russian casualties - we cannot confirm
• We have seen several graphic pictures and videos of dead Russian soldiers, we have intel from one of our contacts in the Izyum areas that wrote, "the forests are full of dead orcs" - not sure how to interpret that as in the last 24 hours or due to the weeks of work dismantling Russian forward operation bases in "Sherwood Forest"
• There were Russian forces in Bairak and Nova Huarivka - they have been eliminated and towns liberated - Ukrainian soldiers greeted by cheering residents
• A lot of captured equipment and munitions - too much to list
• Ukraine has already broken Russian logistics, fuel and ammunition problems plague Russian troops as they struggle to mount any kind of counteroffensive

Kherson: Here is the map 

• Ukraine attacking Russian positions in Novopetrivka from Arkhanhelske 
• Igor "Girkin" Strelkov claiming Ukraine has control of Bruskynske - that is UNCONFIRMED
• If it is true, the Russian garrison in Davydiv Brod is cut off from their supply lines (GLOC)
• A barge was sunk on the Dnipro full of Russian troops, according to Operational Command South
