Russia-Ukraine SITREP for 17 JUL 2022 23:30 PDT - Day 144 - Who Moves First

This is the last day of our condensed Situation Reports. We thank everyone for their patience Today's report is 11 pages long.

It was another quiet day in Ukraine with ground combat limited to the Luhansk-Donetsk border, the Svitlodarsk bulge, and near Donetsk at Marinka.

There are two questions - who will make a big move first and where will it be. 

The combat strength for both belligerents is unclear, and it isn't readily apparent either has the available power for a large scale offensive. The HIMARS break was short lived, with three fresh strikes today (that we know of).

A little housekeeping.

Did you know reading from a teleprompter while not looking like you're reading from a teleprompter is really hard? We spent two hours in the studio today with yours truly practicing. My problem isn't pace or side-to-side eye moving. My problem is my eyes moving with the text scrolling upward. 

We had hoped to have our first YouTube in-depth video up today, but it is bumped to tomorrow.

Our amazing and growing tech team has done some tweaks to the Discord. YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, and Twitter activity will now appears in the Discord as soon as it is posted.

Our podcast should start by the end of the week. We're waiting for the bumps and intros to come out of production with the voice over artist. It will be very BBC sounding.

If you know Myca Hinton from TikTok, this amazing young force of nature has been hired on as a writer (I've been hinting) and she starts this week with her onboarding. We have also brought on TC Tunstall as a writer and the amazing Renee Raketty is back too! Myca will be focusing on national news, Seattle crime and justice on a case-by-case basis (no pun intended), and equality. TC will be focusing on "Five Fast Facts." The format for these stories is very similar to Axios style coverage. Renee will be covering local Washington politics and LGBTQIA issues. I will continue to focus on Ukraine, COVID, and weather.

Once we get the kinks out of YouTube content and the podcasts, which I am hoping is a 30 day ramp, we'll move on with the radio station and the Malcontent will be broadcasting on 450 radio stations. What?!?

How did this all happen!?!?

Finally, the TikTok AI is just crushing us right now and not in a good way. It's nothing personal, TikTok clearly did an AI update and we are not benefiting from it. It's definitely frustrating as we've reached a good place with TikTok and their legal department (now that I've typed that I'll wake up and be told by Sarah our social media manager three videos got taken down overnight) and pushed the production value up again. 

We know this isn't anything personal, because almost every creator is complaining about the most recent AI update - bottom line - interact with the content please!  

Last thing - I hope the person reading this is the individual who offered to help with updating the merch store and doing the back end. I believe you reached out while I was in a haze of COVID, and I can't find your message - anywhere. Please contact me again - PLEASE!
