About a month ago, there were accusations that Ukrainian POWs were returning in prisoner exchanges castrated. We received numerous requests asking us to authenticate these reports.

There is a graphic video circulating on the Internet of a terrorist with the Imperial Legion associated with the Private Military Company Wagner Group castrating a Ukrainian POW in the area of the Vuhlehirskaya Power Plant.

We will not share or link to the video. It far exceeds anything we have had to authenticate and is unspeakably graphic.

The individual who commits the torture appears in the video with their face uncovered. The same person is clearly visible in a video released by Russian State Media on July 27, showing PMC Wagner Group within Vuhlehirskaya Power Plant. Another individual was holding the phone and recording the torture. We believe that the person who recorded the video was captured or killed, and Ukrainian forces secured their cellphone.

The fact that this torture was done while wearing medical gloves and with prepared materials indicates that this is a systematic approach to the treatment of POWs and not a single incident.

The torture and murder of prisoners of war is a war crime. The destruction of a nation's ability to procreate is genocide defined. It is important to point out that the Imperial Legion has trained white nationalist and neo-Nazi organization members throughout Western Europe and the United States since 2015.
