Ukraine announced today that they had completed testing of a drone with a 73-kilogram warhead that can fly up to 1,000 kilometers. The videos from Engels airbase conclusively show at least one massive explosion. The concussion jolted surveillance cameras and set off car alarms almost two kilometers away. This is one of the reasons we are hesitant to declare this was a drone strike: the size of the blast (no secondary explosions) seems much larger than what a 73-kilogram warhead could deliver.
Engels is where Russian Tu-95 and Tu-160 aircraft that launch cruise missiles at Ukraine fly out of.
