I'm happy to report as a Google New affiliate, with a good domain authority score and a leading story right now, and the fact that the Google maps team has a heavy employment presence in my area, we were able to talk to a human being - on a Saturday afternoon.
Long story short - map will be back within 24 hours.

P.S. Not how I planned to spend my Saturday afternoon.
