If the windscreen is the Russian defense lines, and the chips are Ukrainian offensives, chips that turned into stars two weeks ago are now starting to turn into growing cracks.
It appears on all axes Russian commanders were given a "not one step back order," which may be why the generals that questioned the lack of troop rotations and the wasting of Russian reinforcements were dismissed.
The biggest problem facing Ukraine, particularly in Zaporizhia, is landmines and the unprecedented density of Russian minefields. While some have suggested cluster munitions will resolve this, they lack the ability to create sufficient overpressure (shockwaves) to demine large areas.
Considering Ukraine is being forced to fight with one hand tied behind its back, the ongoing progress is rather remarkable.
