I hope that Ukraine is able to take back more territory soon. That’s going to be difficult for the Kremlin to propagandize.

Fun fact about Lukashenko. When he was director of a pig farming collective he beat a man with a shovel for turning up to work drunk.

One thing that strikes me about this new delirious phase of Russian propaganda is that Putin seems to be much more hands on in terms of helping spread the word himself instead of using proxies. I have been reading RT English daily since the war started and all this screaming about the "stupidity" of Ukrainians who are at fault for the attack on the cathedral, the "complete failure" of the counteroffensive and now the crowning glory of killing 5,000 mercenaries would usually have been handled differently, not with actual quotes from Putin. I remember thinking they were actually quite skillful at leaving Putin out of the most egregious claims. But now, where is Medvedev when you need him? I have no way of proving it but it looks as if he is having to work harder. https://www.rt.com/russia/580150-putin-ukraine-mercenaries-lukashenko/

Good blog by Kyiv Post journalist. Summarizes the situation in a sober manner. Interesting suggestions for avoiding the Russian blockade. https://medium.com/@Stefan.Korshak/july-22-day-514-bridges-and-dumps-the-price-of-the-grind-high-seas-chicken-67c225dc1039
