What's the big story? Ukrainian Brigadier General Alexander Tarnavskyi reported there Ukrainian forces completed 1,487 fire missions in the Tavria Direction (roughly occupied Kherson and Zaporizhia). That is a lot of hot steel.
What's the second story? Ukrainian forces made gains toward Robotyne, and attacks in the Soledar Operational Area increased.

I belong to the generation who grew up under the shadow of mutual assured destruction. I think both Biden and Putin know exactly who they are talking to when they make offhand comments about nukes and that is all of us who have a living memory of the Cold War. The destruction of the dam has really brought home to me how far Russia is willing to go. I am not putting anything past Putin at this point, and ZNPP is a big, perhaps the biggest, bargaining chip. People all over the world should be demanding a demilitarized zone at ZNPP. But the comings and goings at ZNPP do not seem to trouble the younger generation one bit, or the war for that matter. I really hope I am wrong....
