Russia-Ukraine SITREP for 07 JULY 2023 23:59* - A Very Busy Day On and Off the Battlefield

Are you new to our Patreon? You need to click on the link to download the PDF attachment, which has links to all the videos referenced in the podcast.

This is Report 431, which is 57 pages.

What's the big story? The situation for Russian forces in Klishchiivka is critical with Ukrainian forces advancing from three directions.

What's the second story? Tough to pick with so much going on but the dominate story is Ukraine is receiving DPICMs (cluster munitions). We have a deep dive into what is provided and how Ukraine plans to use and manage the ammunition.

Malcontent News cannot operate without your support, and we sincerely appreciate your generosity. Maybe share the report with a friend - if each Patreon brought in one more subscriber - ahhh - a Chief Content Officer can dream.

I will make every effort to get into the studio and record a podcast tomorrow.

Thank you for your continued support!

We've started including a bullet overview in the Summary section. At the moment we can't create more content.

It’s been a while since we had a Pod.

Have you considered doing an overview section which could capture the big events that happened that day. Pouring through 54 pages (which mind you is mostly maps and larger text) is definitely more intensive than is necessary to be brought up to speed.

That’s not necessarily true. But we still should have sent jets earlier regardless.

There are reasons to be hopeful that new technologies will help more safely locate and remove mines and unexploded ordnance faster and cheaper than before. I’ve seen reports about drone mounted mine detectors which have a high accuracy rate for example. Satellite imagery and AI can help as well. Ukrainians have been brilliantly innovative and I trust they’ll continue to be. But of course there will still be innocent human and animal victims of these weapons for many years. Ukraine has a right to defend itself with the best options available to it.

If we had sent jets, we would not have had to send cluster munitions. Enough said.
