Russia-Ukraine SITREP for 11 JULY 2023 23:59* - Ukraine and Russia Trade Breaches

Comments

The frequent discussions about terrible conditions of for Russian units, public appeals they have made, and blocking troops got me thinking. Are Ukrainian forces doing anything to make it easier for Russian forces to surrender? For a unit facing a lack of food, weapons, and a 50%+ expected casualty rate, surrender might seem like a better option than dealing with blocking forces or holding their ground. I'm curious if Ukraine has found ways to exploit these conditions and make it easier for groups who don't want to fight to avoid doing so.
