Haniel ("The joy of God" or "Glory or grace of God") 1 also known as Aniel, Hanael, Hamiel or Onoel, is an angel in traditional and esoteric Judaism, he is often listed as one of the seven archangels (but he is not in this story).
Hanael is generally associated with the planet Venus and the Moon. The name probably derives from the Hebrew Haniel "hana'ah", "joy", "pleasure". He is mentioned as the head of the principalities and virtues.
Sometimes he is pointed out as the angel that carried Enoch to Heaven. Hanael is usually related to the emerald and is associated with the rose (the symbol of beauty qualities).
