Folks, we have made it. The Confession Booth is finished. The pdf is attached to this post.
It's 9k words with 7 b/w illustrations, pdf (couldn't really figure out how to make it a ebook I'm afraid). Theres a list of content warnings included but nothing that much different than what I illustrate.
Synopsis: After Father Basil has been too busy with his priestly duties to spend time with Dandelion, the demon decides to take matters into his own hands. Thankfully, he knows exactly where Father Basil is going to alone. As things heat up in a tiny confession booth, Father Basil is forced to confront some of his demons such as his conflicted feelings about sex, priesthood, and his love for Dandelion.
It's meant to be a stand alone story, outside the canon. In theory you should be able to read it without knowing the characters, but I haven't been able to confirm that lol.
This was such an experimental project for me. It was the first time I've done anything in prose since high school! Plus learning how to format it, doing the illustrations, getting it edited... I learned a lot! And had a lot of fun. I really want to do this again. Whether as another side story or maybe even started on The Temptations of Father Basil proper, we'll see! Writing is still a very much a fun hobby for me, so I'll follow where my inspiration takes me.
I'm planning on selling this on my itch.io next week, but I figured it was only fair my lovely patrons got to see it first.
Thank you so much for your patience for this, folks. I would really love to hear people's reactions to it in the comments- what they liked, what worked, what didn't work, etc.
