Hey, AJ. I did a look into the Wikipedia thing, the tags that you're seeing are not actually a deletion process like you're thinking. Think of them more as a to-do list, someone noticed some things and asked other people to take a look. For more info, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:TAGGING is a good place to start. Articles can sit indefinitely with tags (just came across one the other day that had been tagged since 2007!) without going anywhere.
