Patron Exclusive Comic Sequence {June 2022}

This one I'm actually a little excited to share with you all. This is a format that I've been wanting to try out using a Poem and Imagery! The whole "Cursed Dragon's Hoard" concept is one I've always wanted to build a sequence around but couldn't in the past because of complexity and limitations in the Traditional Medium, least when taking into my personal style, technique and tools thereof. The 3D Medium has opened up so much more opportunities for me in my pursuit of telling more epic and expansive tales! ^o^

Concerning the Piece Itself and it's Background Lore

I wanted to take a bit of a unique approach to the story having the hoard have a sort of personality to it, which is expressed by the "Voice" of the Hoard's curse/incantation itself.

Having had been placed on the hoard long ago by a powerful magic wielder, to protect their gains. It's told that the original "Protector" had perished long ago, but the existence of a Physical Protector was never proven, it was just known to everyone that the place was cursed and no one should ever approach it, but of course there was also a great treasure rumored to be there as well, no one was ever foolish enough to try and seek the treasure until now. With the approach of a Greedy Adventurer out for some easy profit, the hoard now either has gotten a replacement or its very first Physical Protector!

Technical Details Recounting the Creation Process

When I started this piece I wanted to make sure it had two things, a Poem/Incantation and Magic Effects, and to have those two things be completely synonymous with one another and be visually represented as such.

This actually proved to be the single most difficult part of this entire project, I am not the most prolific of writers out there, and even less experienced when it comes to Digital Text and editing lol. Many days were spent on getting the Poem to rhyme and the Text to visually match the magic effect (Still not 100% satisfied with the text matching). With help from friend I was able to get to a presentable end result to be happy about though. ^_^

With this project I also wanted to explore a different approach to the TF process, which in my opinion works but is not the most exciting, I'd call it a "Scanner/Printer Approach" Where TF lines travel over parts of the body replacing it with the the new shape of the target form. Or in the case here warping reality around the victims body as it travels around it.

Final Thoughts

Overall I think I can consider this a resounding success and a ton of fun, for being a first attempt and a proof of concept Project! I really love being able to explore different ideas I've had laying around for years, while exploring new and unique ways to portray a transformation, and to tell a proper story through it. ^o^

This is probably the most I have written for one of these in awhile, I hope you guys enjoy the insight as much as the art.
