What's next?

Hello everyone! I wanted to make a quick post letting you know what's coming this month! The recording for the end of Chapter 2 of Deltarune was quite long so I am just working out if it works better as 2 episodes rather than one long video! So potentially two more videos for Deltarune! Then it's Silent Hill and Silent Hill 2. Thanks for the help on where's best to play these :)

For October, if I get time I think I will start revisiting Alien Isolation (slowly just finishing up the unfinished series). The loose plan after that is Subnautica Below Zero at some point in November. After that and the other series are done, I don't know what I would like to play next. I am open to suggestions below, I may pick a couple to add to a poll for you to vote on later (Patreon-only probably).

I hope you've had a great month!

Comments

Amber I am so happy you are giving Silent Hill a go. this is going to be the best playthrough!! Hugs from Brazil

Victor Corazza

U should def play Astro Bot!

Reyes9

Journey is brilliant and can be completed in 2ish hours. Was a beautiful and potent gaming experience for me when I was first getting into gaming. Convinced me games could be art.

Jim Pegoda

Slightly different style of play but Tactical Breach Wizards looks fun, I've not tried it myself yet

A Former Newt

Signalis is really really good! I felt distressed, but in a good way

Huib Gelling

The first Subnautica was excellent. I thought the second one was okay. Check out Stranded Deep as well if you like survival games. I really enjoyed it!

Matthew Kersey

I third this and suggest that the order in which they're played is Alan Wake, Control, Alan Wake 2, as they were listed in the above comment.

Psychespresso

If you were wanting shorter puzzle type games then Return of the Obra Din or the Portal games would be great. The Mass Effect or Dragon Age games could be good as well assuming you enjoy the story and setting (don't have to do the games in the series back to back if you wanted to space them out). If you were willing to do a longer game then Baldur's Gate 3 and The Witcher 3 are brilliant. Also, don't think I've anyone mention them but Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War are fun and the Nemesis system can lead to some really fun encounters

A Former Newt

I see Control has been mentioned quite a few times. Couldn’t agree more! Your thoughtful approach to gaming would resonate well with Control. Absolutely stunning art direction and world building, great combat, simultaneously creepy and hilarious. Good times!

Jim Pegoda

I would love to see the continuation of the To The Moon series at some point. Finding Paradise. The Portal and Half-Life games are great too.

Karlsson

I was just about to recommend Signalis when I saw that someone else already did so I will just say I wholeheartedly 2nd that recommendation as it’s 1 of my favorite horror games & 1 of the best. It’s especially good for you to play it having played a fair amount of Resident Evil games & are playing some Silent Hill soon since that game takes inspiration from those game series. Also I 2nd the recommendations for Control & Death’s Door. I hope you are doing well & will enjoy whatever games you decide to play in the future. Your channel is awesome please keep up the great work. :-) <3

Supermonaman

Very good game and you will love it Amber!

HughMongus64

Looking forward to the coming months and the videos you'll post! A couple of games I like that aren't super long and have fun art styles are Death's Door and Unsighted, if you want to check those out!

Allen Williamson

The Ashtray Maze!

Daniel

Very excited for Silent Hill! I would definitely recommend Beacon Pines. Such an underrated cozy game with spooky vibes!

Holly Berry

If you're still in a horror mood after the Silent Hills and Alien Isolation, I highly recommend Signalis - if you like Silent Hill you will absolutely like Signalis. It's not only the best horror game released in the past several years but just one of the best games in general. For a non horror game, you should check out Nine Sols - it's a Metroidvania by the devs of Detention and Devotion and despite being a radically different kind of game from their previous work they absolutely nailed it. It has a very Hollow Knight feel to it.

Alexander McClelland

Going to make the case for Pentiment, it's a narrative game with few mechanics, about 15 hours give or take, and I think as an artist you would get a lot out of its story since your player character is an artist. Apart from that it's just a very beautiful, moving story with a gorgeous art style. It's not the most popular game so I wouldn't expect it to poll well if you did put it as an option, but I strongly feel you would really enjoy it.

Lamppost in Winter

I second this... very good meta series

Supervised Chaos

She still has the secret route of deltarune chapter 2 to check out, and I still wonder if she ever saw Undertale genocide

Ballistic Biscuit

I second Return of the Obra Dinn for sure, and it's a long shot but I'd love to throw Transistor into the ring!

Angela

If you liked Undertale & Deltarune, i'd also recommend Undertale Yellow!

DelCampino

And, without spoiling anything about the game, the very vast majority of the music was written for the games (except for radios in Alan Wake 1) and should not be copyright stricken.

Vincent Jones

Not sure if you've spoken on these or not, since I just subbed, but I *highly* recommend Alan Wake, Control, and Alan Wake 2. You actually think about games, unlike a huge number of people playing online, so I think you'd really enjoy them.

Vincent Jones

Awesome, looking forward to SH 1 and 2, Amber! For the next game in December-ish, Baldur's Gate 3 and the Witcher 3 are both excellent. Given the timing, you might also consider Dragon Age Veilguard, which releases on Halloween.

Daniel H.

if you’re looking for a chill cozy game with animal crossing and stardew valley vibes, Fields of Mistria just released in early access! it has a lot of content for an early access game and could be fun if you want a chill game you can take at your own pace :)

LunaHuntress

You've talked in the past about liking dishonored, if there any of those (1,2, or death of the outsider) that you've left to play that could be good! Also Prey (2017) is one of my absolute favorites. I second Control, too, and also throw in Alan Wake 1&2 (in the same universe as Control). Prey, Alan Wake, and Control would all keep the spooky theme, too!

Psychespresso

Are you wanting to stick with spoopy games or do you think you won't have enough lead time before October?

l.h. riley

Wonderful setup! Looking forward to all of it I'd recommend/like to see Return of the Obra Din, I second Hellblade and Control (I'll keep it at that for now 😅)

solifis

I would also recommend Control it’s a glorious game

Capt Doug

Super excited for Below Zero from you! I found the channel through the first game. I would second Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and SOMA, but would also like to put in Resident Evil 4 Remake Separate Ways DLC since it's so short!

Zachary Sears

I’ll second Life is Strange. That’s a great one for watching others play through

Luke H

This sounds like a great lineup! For after that, I throw in my vote for Night in the Woods, Helheim Hassle, and Still Wakes the Deep! 😊

Royce Sparks

Control.

Daniel

You know what I second this. Its a great game.

Supermonaman

Ooo, I loved this game. Great suggestion!

Jolric

Glad to hear that Alien Isolation is back. I would like to see you play Slay the Princess, you can do a full playthrough in one video Hope you had a great month too!

Juan

Mass Effect and Life is Strange would get my votes Also soooo buzzing for Silent Hill and Alien! Spooky season is upon us!

Capt Doug

Disco Elysium is a great game.

Marc Werner

yakuza is one of those series where you can get LOADS of time out of it if you wanted, or spend not that long and mainly focus story stuff. the side content will wait until after you've beaten the game anyway really so there's no immediate rush to do it, and the minigames are for exactly how long you want to play them for. i think - mainly focusing story - it wouldn't be too wild. although i do agree that it might make for a better stream game also yeah, the original series director for yakuza said that it's a series where you can do very silly stuff seriously, and that's the perfect way to describe it. they handle it so well haha

ChilledGricken

I recently played Nine Sols and it's a great metroidvania I think you'd enjoy.

PassHerBy

I'd love to see Hellblade: Senuas Sacrifice

Lot_TheKing

Yakuza 0 is so good, no idea how they mixed the wacky stuff with the super serious so well. It is quite long though, isn’t it?

Huib Gelling

Aww Sayonara Wild Hearts is such a nice game

Huib Gelling

Very cool that you’re playing Silent Hill, I never played it and always felt reluctant to start with it, but now you’ve solved my problem hahaha

Huib Gelling

This is an off the wall suggestion, but I’d love to see what you thought of Sayonara Wild Hearts

David Smith

Hey Amber, if you're after something off the beaten path, have you tried Yoku's Island Express? It's a fairly short metroidvania platformer, with the twist that it uses pinball mechanics to navigate the puzzles, lots of fun and a cheerful atmosphere, and it can be boxed off in a few hours so shouldn't derail you from anything more pressing 😅

Don Bernacz

Awesome, excited for what's to come (Subnautica is a joy). I would suggest games but I'm afraid I just don't know what I would suggest lol.

Jack Mingle

Excited for your Silent Hill runs! If you haven't played these, I would always recommend games like Limbo, Inside, and the Little Nightmares games. They are all short puzzle-y titles that I think you would greatly enjoy

McCreedyAlastor193

Ailen Isolation! I love to see you continuing playing that! I don't play much horror games myself but as an Alien fan I was worried I had to play it to experience it. So looking forward to that. Anyway you're doing a good job as a content creator. The editing is excellent and the videos have such a nice flow! You're doing great!

HughMongus64

So excited to see you playing sub zero, I just started watching your last episode of subnautica series! It was so fun and inspiring for the lego dioramas! My suggestion for a game would be reanimal once it's out. Propably not that long, but looks great little nightmares style horror

InarteS

Sounds great! Looking forward to all of it haha. As for new games I will forever champion SOMA as a short-ish but sweet/scary game!

b0n3man

Exciting stuff coming up! Do you also still plan to play Half-Life? If you have the time and desire to squeeze in another short spoopy game for Halloween, I would suggest Bramble: The Mountain King. It ranks highly in my list of game I've played this year and can be completed in 4-5-ish hours. Some suggestions for other games down the line: - Night in the Woods - Beacon Pines - The Talos Principle And if/when you return to streaming, I think Minishoot' Adventures could be a fun one. I posted this in the discord as well. It's basically an old school 2D Zelda but as a twin stick shooter. Simple to get into and lots of fun! Hope you're doing well!

Trolez

Animal Well is my vote

Brad Brown

Looking forward to you finishing Alien! Just been replaying that myself Did you read that the director of Romulus was playing it when inspired to work on the movie? I haven't had a chance to see it yet but that makes me want to watch

Andy

Perhaps a relatively short indie game, such as Return of the Obra Dinn could be good If you haven't played Valve games such as Half-Life 2 or the Portal games before, they're great games

Johno3998

Awesome plan! Looking forward to silent hill. As for recommendations Shorter game: Oneshot Medium length: Inscryption A bit longer: Prey (2017)

Arkytior

Looking forward to see your take on silent hill 2 - an amazing game

DVHalen

very excited for everything! sounds awesome!! (omg silent hill!!) obvs throwing my hat in the ring for yakuza 0 haha, hope you've had a great month too <3
