Floatplane progress
Added 2020-09-08 13:47:15 +0000 UTCPainting in my own water now: current direction for the plane is unpainted wood as the family is still experimenting with it but that may change!

Yeah they definitely would eventually. Probably a white upper surface to reflect the sun, and the family crest etc

2020-09-08 14:59:07 +0000 UTCAh, they probably will want to paint it, if for anything, a seaplane gets covered with water. In this case, probably very briny water from the sea. And that water dries out leaving salt crystals in the wood, damaging it. So a coat of paint will keep that to a minimum.
