A tribute to Professor Lance deHaven-Smith with Mark Crispin Miller, Matthew With, and Aaron Good at the 2016 Project Censored Conference. Big thanks to the indefatigable Mickey Huff for putting this conference together!
Lance deHaven-Smith is a retired professor of public administration. He was one of the top experts on Florida politics before turning late in his career to the study of state criminality. Among other things, he is notable for coining the term state crimes against democracy (SCADs). This was Lance's last public appearance, as health problems forced him into an early retirement. Much of the discussion here revolves around Lance's last book, a classic entitled Conspiracy Theory in America.
