Comments

Nowhere in the grand pantheon of deep events is there more physical evidence refuting the official story than 9/11. AE and AE for 9/11 truth have more in common than acronyms. Both are sense making institutions. Ryan makes a good point; there should be more solidarity between these groups. I applaud this effort. I hope to see more.

I’ve been listening to these again while I’m doing housework. This is so interesting because im currently finally reading The Devils Chessboard. Have to admit I had to switch my brain off through the bit when David makes that silly remark about Stalin & Putin being “monsters” & the comment about being “poisoned”.

Jennifer Stroh

I like his work, but don't know him.

Aaron Good

Off topic: Have considered trying to get Christopher Simpson on the podcast for interview? Don't think I need to talk about the relevance it is obvious.

Yes, to my knowledge, Peter Dale Scott first wrote about the US-led Anticommintern all the way back in the 1970's. We will cover this in greater detail in the future. The Cuban exiles became an infamous part of this following Castro's victory.

Aaron Good

Are you guys familiar with the 'Cuban freikorps' idea? Listening to this episode really does reinforce the idea that Dulles used the freikorps of WWII on a global scale

Himbo Slice

Yeah, attained some knowledge of the CIA before 2008 from things like Stephen Kinzer books, but Obama's defaults combined with study of JFK made it impossible to believe in mainstream perspectives anymore.

Aaron Good

I'm a Boomer, but I came to studying the whole question of extra-governmental government not from questioning the accepted narrative of the JFK assassination but from reading on the intelligence establishment. It took me a very long time to let it sink in that they were all of a piece. Thanks for bringing Talbot and Mr. B.B. together for this...

30 minutes in I thought, "Damn, Liz is being quiet this episode." Wrong podcast!

Bong Bong

I hear you. On a more straightforward level, we gotta think: would we rather spend, say, ten minutes talking about Dulles with David Talbot--or ten minutes talking about Putin, a subject in which neither he nor I are expert?

Aaron Good

Thanks! Really happy that David and Brace were up for this and somehow we were able to overcome tech problems...

Aaron Good

That story is indeed recounted in Devil's Chessboard.

Aaron Good

I cant remember what book its from, prolly this one, but there was a story about Dulles as a child where i believe his sister who couldnt swim fell in a river, and while his brothers were panicking trying to get her out, he just stood there and watched almost curiously. Bizarre

ClownBabee24

This was outstanding gentlemen! Top class work all the way around!

John McElroy

Feel better, Aaron. But I thought I was picking my spots! :-))

Well, Jan. 6 is weird... we even wrote and article that talked about it last September... and I still don't know what to make of it--or the extent of Trump's guilt. I do believe that there was some deep state hand there, but I can't say exactly what the goal was, etc. As for Putin, there aren't that many people who will shrug and say, "I can't really judge any of the accusations against him b/c the media has lied so much about him for years..." So whatever. For me personally, we live in a top-down system of managed "democratic' governance. We cant influence the regime very much regardless of what we think. We definitely can't influence other countries. So if I want to talk to someone who has expertise on a subject, I try to fight the urge to reflexively argue against every point I might disagree on. I have to try and figure out if it's worth contesting this or that point--in terms of time, energy, reward, opportunity cost, yada yada. So I didn't want to waste time talking about Putin with David--who is a wonderful guy and whose work has done a lot to illuminate how we got to this point. If I may go into guru mode: I think to deal with these issues for an extended period of time, one should at times adopt something like a Buddhist sense of thoughtful detachment and/or Daoist wu wei or non-striving in terms of not always feeling compelled to start or gas up conflict. That could be said more clearly, I'm sure, but I'm a little sick and have a lot of stuff to do so that's as much as I can write. Basically, I am trying to learn when to chill and when not to, fwiw.

Aaron Good

Thank you for the interview! There was that cringe-worthy moment (imho) when Talbot starts comparing Putin to Stalin. (!) And remarks how he'd be poisoned as the brave journalist he is if he were in Russia. I mean really. Did Talbot actually fall for the whole Skripal/Navalny nonsense, brought to you by the same vampires that brought us Russiagate? It reminds me how Jim DiEugenio goes on and on about 1/6 as if it were the Storming of the Winter Palace, rather than the covert op it actually was. Amazing how Putin and Trump makes otherwise worthy people lose their vision.
