Episode 44: Did Bandar Bush Do 9/11? w/Branko Marcetic & Ben Howard

Aaron talks with Branko Marcetic and Ben Howard about the recent 9/11 revelations which further implicate the Saudis--including the Saudis' key US deep state operative, Prince Bandar bin Sultan.

Marcetic is a Jacobin staff writer and the author of Yesterday's Man: The Case Against Joe Biden. His recent 9/11 article at Jacobin is We Have New Evidence of Saudi Involvement in 9/11, and Barely Anyone Cares.

I would imagine that there’s opposition to Saudi rule even within Saudi intelligence (hidden opposition, of course), that might explain some of the connections between Saudi intelligence (& US intelligence) and 911. The hijackers sure as hell didn’t blow themselves up for money, although I’m unfamiliar with the evidence hinted at in this podcast that some of the hijackers might not have been aware of the endgame.

I bring people on to talk about certain subjects and I can't spend too much energy trying to fixate on this or that area where we might disagree. I oppose mandates and passports on principle, especially given the criminal essence of the regime that we would be giving these powers to. But I can't afford to get too exercised about anyone who disagrees with me. I hope that makes sense.

BTW, this guy wrote this: https://jacobinmag.com/2021/08/nationwide-vaccine-mandate-covid-19-delta-variant-new-york-health Including this: “one obvious course of action is for Biden to make vaccines a requirement for mass transport.” I mean REALLY, Branko??? I think you must be what's known as a "left fascist."

This looming tension between the Saudis and the US is bad news for the 1973 success of the Petro Dollar, the bed rock of the US Dollar since it went off gold in 1971. Without the money, the US is going to find out just how many "friends", they really have.

It ALWAYS goes back to Iran Contra guys lmao

ClownBabee24

Thanks! And yes, we're going to talk about that in an interview with a new guest we have lined up.

Yes, those things were on my mind as well... laying the groundwork for possible regime change should it be deemed expedient. I think the murder of Jamal Khashoggi may have been done by MBS to preempt such chicanery.

Acknowledging these kinds of 'apex crimes' can be traumatic for one's psyche and career. I think they know that, based on psychology and through the study of events like Dallas where you essentially have journalists acting as experiment subject to see how such persons would respond to a state crime in broad daylight. It's a little scary; people go along to get along.

Fantastic episode AE! Enjoyed this one. Not sure if it is in your upcoming schedule/wheelhouse but would it be possible to get some Lula content while he is still here with us (a deep state Target past and present) as he is headed in a direction that will surely piss off the tripartite state. Brasilwire.com/Lula-proposes-am-currency-to-be-freed-of-us-dollar-dependency/ Might be worth it to get to the scene of the next criminal coup early? Cheers for all your work Aaron, Ben, and Branko

Great listening Aaron, Ben and Marko! Just a thought on aarons question "why release this now?" Perhaps as the Saudis are now accepting payments in Yuan from China instead of the US Dollar, and not sanctioning Russia, the US Intelligence "Community" have some payback for the KSR? Aarons thoughtful question leads me to the answer. Fabulous to hear an Antipodean accent, Marko!

I subbed a few weeks ago and I’m so glad i did. I appreciate the speculative questions you ponder, particularly in the last PDS episode and at the end of this one. For as much historical and parapolitical research always remains to be done, I do wonder to what extent psychology may explain why so many in msm or even the more fringe left have a mental dam stubbornly refusing the evidence in front of their eyes regarding crimes of the deep state. I‘ll be brief for now, but I believe to a certain extent a type of pride plays a role: perhaps pride in institutions, or pride that stops one from admitting how much stronger an opponent is, or maybe a simpler pride that they already know enough about how the world works.

You should do a pod on everything you mention re: Kosovo and Azerbaijan

Yeah, the campaign to make the subject taboo has been very successful. It would be better if people just said what you suggested: that the taboo is such that they cannot entertain the idea...

Do you have a link handy ?

As a bit of an aside, in reference to lefty media staying as far away from 9/11 as possible. There was a recent Useful Idiots call in show with Halper and Mate where a caller said something to the effect of, "Do you think that revisiting 9/11 might help shed some light on these other issues you're talking about?". There was a noticeable silence and the answer was uncharacteristically terse, like "no, next question". I felt bad for them being put on the spot and kind of wished they'd just said outright that discussing 9/11 would ruin whatever credibility they have (which I think is true). But it just goes to show that being labeled a Truther is much scarier than being called a Putin/Saddam puppet or Genocide Denier or what not. Anyway I appreciate you covering this topic. You and Ben both have the necessary erudition and tone for discussing this that might be accessible to outsiders. So much of the 9/11 discussion online is batshit crazy or contains clearly faulty argumentation.

Cory

Awesome 'sode! Have you guys heard the Paul Jay perspective of this sordid event?
