Man this is such a great episode

Peter Pattakos

I don't typically wanna diss people for their appearance, but he is a loathsome propagandist and the plastic surgery stuff is creepy...

Aaron Good

Also i love how posner (author of case closed) looks like a creepy weirdo. Like a weasel on meth

Yes, it is pretty crazy, and funny to consider the things that Max and Jim and I discuss which didn't even make it into the film. Max was actually pretty nice to her on the whole...

Wow, just watched the doc, very impressive research and interviews. The Paines were key in the lone gunman theory. They helped with numerous details implicating Oswald, so many details it’s just impossible to believe these were coincidences. Then we have all the research surrounding their background and family, even up to recent activities with the Sandinistas, how could you not see there must be some kind of connection there? Just religious do gooders? The CIA’s best babysitter award goes to the Mrs Paine.

Joedie Sawyer

Yes, it is ridiculous. The only thing I would quibble over is that he probably wouldn't have warranted literally 24/7 surveillance, but you probably meant that figuratively. We know from Morley and Newman and others that the CIA--especially Anglteton's CI division and the Office of Security--did have Oswald monitored closely...

Aaron Good

What I’ve never understood is after defecting initially how someone like LHO, could be allowed back into the country without 24/7 surveillance during that period in history. His life, and his families’ life should have been a living hell but he is met by right wing or federal friendlies at every turn. This is not how a Cold War unipolar power acts against its supposed dissidents. No way in hell anyone could argue LHO is not an intelligence agent - even without all the background info of Atsugi, Swiss/Dutch contacts, Guy Bannister, George DeMohrenschilt, the Paines and all of their connections, Fair Play for Cuba and all of his travels in the Summer of 63. It’s just nuts to think he is a lone gunman.
