Added 2020-04-07 01:50:06 +0000 UTCWe've been self-isolating pretty rigorously here at Chez Tayler. Sandra goes shopping once per week, and Howard doesn't go anywhere except the back yard, where he'll occasionally have shouting-distance conversations with the neighbors. None of us are sick, which is nice, and we'd like to keep it that way.
That said, Howard was sick, and whatever it was, it set us back a bit. In January, about five days after attending a wedding in his debut role as "father of the bride," Howard fell ill with a fever and a cough. It got bad enough that we visited the emergency room, and because it was January, we all had a nice laugh about whether or not Howard had been to China recently.
Ha. Ha.
It wasn't influenza, pneumonia, or any of the usual suspects. "Some other virus," they said. Whatever it was, the effects lingered, and now Howard is taking asthma medication daily. Eventually we'll get some more tests run, but for obvious reasons we're not darkening hospital doorways right now.
Howard's productivity took a hit, further delaying the finishing touches on BIG DUMB OBJECTS. Other projects, like delivering fun, Patreon-exclusive things, got pushed clear past the back burner and down through the cracks. We're sorry for this, because now seems like a great time to deliver extra entertainment digitally.
