You look really good in anything that is: red, rust, neon yellow/green, pink, and any blue from sky/baby to dark. I think you hit the nail on the head about the blue one piece. You were expecting it to have a pattern and that is why if felt weird to you. A way to test this out is, it the other one is solid on the inside, to reverse it and see how you feel about it. Just a thought.
