Official: This Arc will have 16 episodes in total, the first episode counts as one singular episode in the count and this arc will be split into 2 cours. 2*8 episodes, after november there will be a 3 months break and for febuary we get the other half. Unofficial: Under the season 3 project, 2 arcs will be adapted, arc 5 (current and 16 episodes) and Arc 6 with 22 episodes, coming to a total of 38 episodes for now. The schedule for Arc 6 is not yet confirmed, official infoes are likely to drop beginning of next year with the unofficial confirmation prob a bit earlier. If i would make a guess for the production health that they might keep the same schedule pattern with 2 cours and a break in between, which would span the season 3 project over the whole 2025 calendar.

Re:Zero i would argue is an anime you need to rewatch anyways, not just to refresh all the small details which might or might not become relevant but also each previous season gets more context which each new season, making you look at a lot of previous stuff differently. This goes for episodes in the current season too. So go ahead and rewatch.
