Update delayed to September

Hey all!

As I already mentioned on Discord, the update is postponed until the second half of september. As for details, here they are!

First things first, completion status of the update:

Writing about 70-80%, renders about 30%.

Secondly, I was pretty sure about releasing in August. Since this is not going to happen, existing supporters who feel like unsubscribing can write me a message until end of August and I will give them a link to the update once it releases. Not trying to imprison you here with unnecessary waiting :) Obviously I'm still thankful for any continued support!

So, why the delay?

I might have the opportunity to get my foot into a game dev studio through a contact. Problem is, I have a near non-existing portfolio. Can't really put this thing or unfinished side stuff up there, can I? Great solution to that - I got a fair share of UE4 experience and the Epic Game Jam is coming up. Ideal time to create something with - hopefully - a small audience, that also is a bit more in-depth than what my current portfolio shows. 

"But why do you need the Game Jam for that?" - I actually don't; Next to that arisen opportunity I was also in talks about self employment and some funding for non-NSFW stuff. For that, I need to finish my masters program - Which I am about to do during the next two months.

As everything seems to be falling together in a nice way, I haven't worked on this game since ~ 1-2 weeks. I'm focusing on finishing my masters to free up time for the gamejam, while improving my business plan and preparing for the gamejam.

Therefore, development of this game is delayed until the second half of september - After the gamejam. Then I can focus on the rest of my masters and the game. Since a lot of text is already done, I can make good progress by rendering overnight. It's a slow process, but there is less of a hurry now. That means when picking up development again, I have finished more renders and there is going to be less overall work left.

Since I'm working on the side, finishing my masters will also result in more time I can put into this game. Overall, a great win-win scenario!
