Hello guys, great reaction! To answer one of your questions, the Harfoots are proto-Hobbits. According to Tolkien, there were three sub-races of Hobbits during ancient times, Harfoots, Stoors, and Fallohides. Gollum/Smeagol was a Stoor, but he wouldn't be born for centuries later. Also, if you would like to learn more about J.R.R. Tolkien, I highly recommend you watch the biopic Tolkien starring Nicholas Holt and Lilly Collins.
