Your reactions to the sexism in these films is really very sweet.

Yall are killing it with the Tom Hanks movies. I'm really enjoying them. May I suggest some more of them? Apollo 13, A Man Called Otto, Bridge of Spies, Sully and Captain Phillips. Thanks for all you do!

This was a sweet story. I loved it when it came out. My Dad was a high school baseball coach and then a college baseball coach for 15 years. He played for a Baltimore Oriole's minor league team in the 1950s. He had a Bazooka bubble gum card of him. We have the letter from Bazooka framed. I've never known anyone who loved baseball more than my dad. So, I grew up around baseball. The only sport I can tolerate. Cam, you're right about corporations making women glamorous for their image. You guys should've seen how we were treated as flight attendants. We had a lot of standards. We had to step on a scale and if we were 1 pound overweight, we got suspended. Your nails had to match your lipstick. Your heels had to be so many inches. Your watch, jewelry, perfume...you name it! Pretty crazy times. It's still that way in other countries, that's why their flight attendants are gorgeous! Anyway, great reaction. That opening wasn't too bad. You guys crack me up! Rosie O'Donnell and Madonna became close friends during this movie. It's based on a real life. Women did a lot for this country when the men were away. Zay, I loved how into the game you were!! I could see you playing baseball. Cam, I could see you eating a hot dog watching Zay play. 😃😄😉

And the younger sister was Lori Petty who was TANK GIRL - now *there's* a movie for you - kind of a lower rent Mad Max in a dystopian future with Malcom McDowell and Ice-T and giant cat people.

You seriously need to screen "Major League" and "Bull Durham." Oh and "Field of Dreams." They're about baseball, but they're not only for baseball people. I'm a football person myself but I love all three of those movies because they're not *just* baseball movies. In each case there's something more there. (The only one that's a true Rom Com is Bull Durham.) Give one of 'em a spin some time. (And yes - the women's baseball league during the war was an actual thing and even some of the team names in the movie were actual teams.)
