2023-08-20 15:54:26 +0000 UTCSylvester Stallone never was a boxer but was a boxing fan. He writes many of his films. He was not famous before this movie. The trainer Mickey was famous from playing the original Penguin in the 60s Batman. The director of this also made the Karate Kid which is one of my favorite movies and you can see parallels. I would definitely like to watch more of the films since I haven’t watched the sequels for a long time.
