Wow. Very stunned at the super high ratings. I like this movie, but it seemed pretty much in the 8 territory to me. It is a lot of fun though. And you're right, the director Joel Schumacher put his spin on the story. They were all supposed to be little kids, but Schumacher wanted to make it sexy so he aged the vampires up. There's also a lot of homoeroticism (the director is gay) that you guys might've missed. Lots of youtube videos deconstructing that. Bummer that you guys figured out grandpa knew everything, because that last line is such a showstopper if you're surprised.
