Banshee of Acheron Part 1: The Haunted Water

This model is from an out of print line from the 90's called Rackham Miniatures, lovely stuff. I realize I've been painting a lot of Games Workshop figures for these tutorials so let's change it up!
In part one I'm painting the rocks, exciting I know, and then the part everyone actually wants to see, the glowing blood-skull water! Jump ahead to 17:44 if you'd like to see that part straight away.

I knew you were metal before Sam, but free-handing skulls in a blood lake on a base is a whole new level. Awesome.
