Warcry Finale!

I know, right? It's over already? Sort of. 

We've been enjoying the campaign but this has been a learning experince in a lot of ways. We became bored with our armies, I've played many games with the rotmire creed but only 6 in campaign. Starting a fresh warband is the way, I think. But this also brought together a gaming group. Josh, Raven, Braeden, and myself being at the core of it. With a group established the plan is to keep it togther and venture into more games, Necromunda, 40K, and whatever else floats on to our horizon. Also get more people involved.

First though, let's see some pictures. We wrapped up the campaign in a 4 way battle with raze ground (or something) as our objective. In short, the player with the most models within 1" or the maw pit wins. We also drew a twist card that granted each of us an extra wild dice to begin the game.

It was a dash to the middle, a lot of actions were spent hoofing it to the big mouth. But I had something special in my corner. That pyramid could drop D6 lightning damage to everyone within 1" of a piece of scenery if I had a triple with my ability dice, the extra wild dice combined with my own campaign bonus of an extra wild dice gave me a good amoutn of triples to make. i reigned damage chaotically but in return my warrior would aslo suffer D6 damage, worth it. 

Raven and Josh being old friends got stuck up engaging each other and didn't get enough models in range, on my side, Braeden and I bumped into each other a bit but kept our eyes on the prize. Most of the fighting would be done by the pit.

Rotmire win! I had added a few extra models to my warband and that strength of numbers paid off in the end. My plan was to add a Pusgoyle Blightlord after but we had a talk before playing. Raven posed the question of starting a different game up or continuing. We decided to play something in the 40k setting and Kill Team it is.

Raven is quite the crafter and already has these 12" tiles with secenry attached. Fucking gorgeous!

It's easy to imagine a story when I look at this epic table. The gritty underhive streets of an overchocked industrial hellplanet teeming with viloent self interested groups. 

So that's why I say it's sort of over. Warcry ends and Killteam begins. There is always the chance for hobby content at these get togethers but I also wanted to just have fun and not be thinking about content the whole time.

But this time, I'll keep a war journal for my Killteam experince. First off, i need to choose a team. Arbites, Karskins, Space marines? I'm spoiled for choices and haven't made a call yet :)
