(A bold title I know but follow me)
So two guys who won gold medals at the Resin Beast got togther. It was really happy moment when Joe Orthober and I were standing there togther. Joe came for a lesson a long time ago and I'm really happy to see him continue to stay fired up about his art. No, I don't think any credit goes to me for his win haha, I just wanted to say that because it's how we got acquainted. His hands painted his entry. I'm just a fan :)
Anyway, we had a good day togther, painting and talking shop. Pictured here working with his preferred medium, oil paint. Those nothern guys are crazier the further you go.
But I like what I see (pictured above) and he's gained a lot of knowledge I don't have. It was nice to hear all that information. Quite the alchemist there.
For my part I was working on something I can't share yet. There will be an in depth video on this model that focuses on compostition and theory. But Joe brought me an important ingredient for the first project of this new approach I'm taking. Thanks for the wood, bud!
A flat back and rounded front, now I can get to constructing this plinth and backdrop!
Remain unchained!
