XM Concept doodles
Added 2020-06-04 16:25:16 +0000 UTCRe-hashing some old concepts from a friends universe. I've had these characters for over a decade and they've sorely needed a redesign. So this is Zhenya (purple) and Sytir (blue). Who are both Illumaran. A dragonlike species by my friend Kilara.
It's been really nice to revisit this universe as it's super nostalgic for me. Sytirs human design is mostly solid, but his outfit is really not done. I had more ideas for Zhenya's outfit but I need to do some reference searching for his.
Zhenya is a jeweler, who saved Sytir as a young baby from a human snare while she was out collecting resources for her craft. The boy has little idea where he came from and was adopted by Zhen. The two are quite close.
He's now a teen and has a love for exploring..which might have been what happened when he got lost as a baby. Who knows where his real parents are.
Zhenya's design was originally based off of a very pretty fish, but the reference I used has been lost to time. Sytir on the other hand is based off of a stellar jay.
Neighbours have been drilling today and I could barely concentrate on other tasks..this is about all I've managed.
