The adventure is an adaptation of Lost Mines of Phandelver, a decent starting adventure from dnd5e, retooled with star wars flair. You've been hired by a Quarren miner to meet him on Formos, a planet in the Kessel System, to deliver supplies and help him uncover 'something big' on the planet. The era is Old Republic, and you'll be working in the gray area between the Republic and the Empire. Nobody is a Jedi or Sith here, but I won't stop you from being one of the Force Sensitive classes, as you'll be starting at level 1, and probably won't be doing much with the Force at that point in your class.
