Added 2020-07-05 22:41:28 +0000 UTCA re-draw of an old piece from 2013! I quickly grew out of the ..few days of liking the damsel in distress trope thankfully, but I recently happened upon that old piece and was inspired to turn it on its head and re do it. Turned into the birth of yet another new OC, or two since the dragon counts. (I cant be stopped)
Also, I've been experimenting and trying new things, OptionalTypo has been a massive inspiration and a bit of a mentor to me lately so if there's some similarities in style that's why, been trying to take his advice on board to broaden my art a bit. I had a few people comment on that and I wanted to say I'm not trying to imitate..just trying to expand my process and how I get art done, hopefully melting some things into my own process to create something unique. ..this is how every artist has done it. Nothing is original..we all "steal" from eachother in constructive, unharmful ways. It's just how it's been ever since art was a thing.
Also as a result I've been feeling super inspired, art is all I want to do all day and all night. So I'm taking that as a great thing and continuing. Texture was something that I found really hard to incorporate in my work before, so some new brushes and trying new things has been fun, doing stuff I wasn't sure how to before.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy looking at it.
