One More Thing: Barbot

Greetings Adventurers,

Our second release in the taverns line sees us going from the terrible morning after, to behind the bar. This one is ready to serve your patrons and keep them in line whenever they get a little rowdy. I'm excited to put this one in your hands as I think a Barbot could be a really entertaining way to kick off a campaign with a new table. I'd love to hear what you guys end up it for if you do!

Design notes from Matthew:
The mechanics of this one really came together quickly as we kind of knew what we wanted from the start. I wanted it to be able to hold its own in combat, but also not be overwhelming for a decently skilled adventurer. That's sometimes a difficult balance to strike, but this time around it came by pretty easily. I knew I wanted it to have a quick reaction shield, a way to stun, and then this mechanic of spraying people down with beer in the hopes of cooling them down. All of those ended up getting in so I'd call that a success.
The lore of this was actually one of my favorites to put down as I was really trying to figure out how one of these could come to be. The most obvious answer in the end for me were the Dwarves. We've done some pieces previously in this Drudgework automaton line, but this kind of feels like an unofficial extension of that, which I'm quite happy with.
I really hope folks drop one of these in an early bar brawl scenario and have it wreak havoc while the players have to play keep-away with it. Presenting it as this terror that is trying to quell the fight would be a humorous session for me. Heck, maybe I even need to make that happen.

This is our last release of September and I'm so so excited for spooky season right around the corner. We're going to be bringing you tons of spooky releases for this season and we've got some great ideas already in the bank for them!
