In spite of its issues, the Solari are a proud people with an unshakable belief in the Solaris Dream: To strike it big with a bold new business venture and transform both the nature of human existence and one's own life.
In orbit around Solaris are a large number of space colonies, the most famous of which is the Astrium. Known as Solaris in a bottle, the Astrium presents both the best and worst of Solaris in one small package - a cornucopia of both the unbridled greed and unmatched technological brilliance of the Solar Alliance.
Not too far away is the Solar Congress, the political capitol of the Alliance, where the Senators of each member world in the Alliance convene to settle tariffs and corporate regulations. (Or lack thereof.)
