Pre-Alpha Preview: AI Test

Compared to previous iterations of the combat system, the current version of the enemy AI within Legends will be much more inclined to try and get behind you requiring you to be more tactful with using your own movements to minimise the effect of this. Finding the balance will be key to your success as well as letting you control your spacing on the map until you're in a position to either go all out on a priority target or mop up the chip damage you have been dishing out turn to turn.

You'll also see some of the early work here involving the rules of movement which are going to work a little different this time around, with the ability to perform a move through a unit for quick relocation no longer possible and instead has to be achieved through maneuvering around said unit - making player or AI initiated movements much more important. This same idea will also be applicable to land masses like islands.
