So much exploration of loss and how that impacts on the Doctor and Ashildr. The scenes where the Doctor works out why he chose that face are so powerful. Capaldi turns in yet another outstanding performance.

2025-10-25 06:38:17 +0000 UTCitโs been a while since I rewatched these episodes specifically and I forgot how many lines they throw in as foreshadowing so kinda wanna die but no spoilers ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ BUT ME !!!!!!!!!! knew youโd enjoy the Arya Stark cameo, sheโs SUCH a unique character and such a fascinating twist on the Captain Jack Harkness dilemma of โpeople who are immortal as a result of dying near the Doctor and he then leaves them behind bc theyโre fixed points and despite him hating nothing more than losing people he refuses to keep around the only people he CANT lose bc their perspectives would be too vast so he chooses to suffer rather than spare himself the pain bc thatโs what it means to be aliveโ I HATE THIS SHOW AND HOW MUCH IT HURTS ๐๐๐๐ the flashback to Ten and Donna in Pompeii is such a VIVID memory of this series; I can remember gasping so loud and bursting into tears when that first aired bc just seeing Ten broke me ๐ซถ๐ป๐ญ but the whole can Twelve go one episode without dropping the most devastating bars ever heard in Who challenge? failed. every single time. every single episode. everybody say THANK YOU PETER CAPALDI โน๏ธ๐ฉท so glad you enjoyed these episodes tho!! praying for you as this series nears its endโฆ๐
