2023-10-03 00:14:08 +0000 UTC(sorry for the long comment lol) I’ve been so incredibly obsessed with this album since it dropped, almost every song had my jaw dropping - The Rose just puts me in some kind of mood, their songs are so comforting I’ve also been thinking that their lyrics are fairly simple (with the occasional complex metaphor) - but yeah, it doesn’t really come across as cheesy either to me. I think I mentioned it in a comment on your video where you covered “You’re Beautiful” - they completely sell it, the way they deliver the lyrics totally makes it work and it just HITS. Which is really cool! It’s SO cool how Dusk continues that lifeline beep thing right after Lifeline, and how Dawn flows perfectly into You’re Beautiful…idk, I just really love a cohesive album Angel feels like silk in my ears - makes me just want to lay down with my eyes closed and listen to Woosung serenade me UGHHHH ECLIPSE ASLDKFJSDLKF when it hits that “and it creeps on me like a sunrise” I swear I ASCENDED BRO I haven’t looked at the lyrics to Eclipse until now, so I didn’t realize that first they say “creeps on me like a sunrise” “swallows me into black skies” “back to dusk” and then LATER they say “creeps on me like a moonrise” “swallows me into blue skies” “back to dawn” AHHHHH I LOVE THAT ALSKDFJSLDF and then “take me TO the dark” turns to “take me FROM the dark” INCREDIBLE And then “deep inside my BROKEN mind” to “deep inside my COMPLEX mind” - the whole song feels so hopeful - it’s like finally accepting yourself for all your flaws WOOO catch me BOPPIN’ AND JUMPIN’ to Cosmo when I see them live in a couple days AHHHHH OH MY GOD and Wonder is just so epic and anthemic, those fucking DRUMS MY GOD AND THE VOCALS - yeah it’s that strain/pressure of the almost forced vocals that really adds to the vibe of the song…AHHHHH
