I don't think it can be anything any better than that. Even though I wasn't a coach, I was just a band mom, but I was very involved in my kids lives as well as their friends. Some of their friends are still coming around to the house, I keep in touch with some of them on FB or Snapchat, they call me MamaT, they tell me they love me as a 2nd mom, they sometimes come to me for advice. I absolutely love all these kids! They are an extension to my family. I think being any kind of positive role model in a kids life is important! I never really thought I was doing anything special, I was just being a mom. My kids maybe young adults, they are still a huge part of my life.

And I can't believe it gets much better than that does it? being involved and supportive in something they love is such a huge thing and doing it in a healthy way is super important to, not just telling your kids they are great or special in any way because that sounds like the right thing to say or do!! But truly pushing them in a positive way to go out and earn those type of compliments and working hard to be part of something bigger than just themselves, I think those are such amazing learning opportunities in their young lives!!

But like u said its an amazing privilege and opportunity to get to be a positive influence in a young persons life and I certainly don't take that thought lightly. Cause as a youth playing football, basketball and baseball, I can still remember the coaches who really made a positive impact on me and how important it was for me personally! So needless to say I could only hope I might possibly have that kind of positivity on as many of the kids I get to coach.

That too is awesome!! Enjoy your kids while they're little!! Enjoy every moment you can!! The years fly by way too fast! My kids are young adults now. My son is 21, and my daughter is 20. They were both in marching band, and I loved every minute of being a band mom!! Loved going to all the football games, concerts, band trips!! I lived for it!!!

Wow that's so awesome!!! My oldest daughter is 13, middle daughter 11 and my son is 10 and I've been fortunate enough to have been coaching them in basketball since they were in kindergarten and all the way through till last year for my oldest who was a 7th grader and played for our middle school who already had a coach, but my middle it's still a sixth grader so I've got one more year with her and a few more with my son when it comes to basketball but I'm also the 8th grade boys basketball coach so I'll have my son again eventually, weather he likes it or not LOL and last year was my son's first year he was able to play tackle football so I was ask to be an assistant on the team and then the head coach this year. There's a small handful of dads that basically coach each year and hand off the teams to the next group below them. And with all this covid-19 BS its definitely made things a little more challenging to say the least!!
