The Wr13r's Handy Dandy Three-Step-Plan for cookies (there's more than Three steps but DSAF reference go Brrrrrr)

There are somethings you may have missed in the video since i was in a rush to get it done, so let me try to REexplain all of that here. be sure to come here AFTER you watch the video so you don't get confused. if i use a term you don't know, it's best to look it up the internet could explain it better than i can.

im sure you heard what i said about the main cookie's topology pretty well, but there is one thing you may have missed. when you first finish the (terrible) modelling of the base cookie model, the faces might be really scuffed. turn on face orientation to see the state of the faces before you give it the solidify modifier, and then recalculate the normals in edit mode and make sure the red side is facing down. now you can get the solidify modifier and crank it up until it looks good, then a subdivision surface modifier with a render resolution of 3.

always start with the outline, it will greatly help with the rest of the cookie when you have topology in the shape of your colors.

You'll see an image of what intersections (when outlines overlap) look like at 1:06.

when doing the frosting make sure to ALSO recalculate all normals and flip them if you need to.

When making the frosting material set Roughness to 0.4 and subsurface scattering to .35

If you have any questions please ask me i will answer to the best of my ability
