2021-06-30 00:11:44 +0000 UTCA young woman wakes up, and finds an old oil lamp on her bedside table, which she could swear wasn't there before. Out of curiosity, she picks it up and stokes it, and a huge, rather intimidating genie emerges. "And he says, in a deep, booming voice, 'What is your third wish?' "Confused, the woman says, 'Third wish? I never asked you for a wish'." "The genie replies, 'Oh, you did. You see, after making your first wish, you found the results unpleasant, so you used your second wish to undo the first wish'. So I still owe you one'." "So she thinks for a minute, and says, "Okay, my lover has been missing for years. I wish for him to return'." "The genie gives a sinister chuckle as he starts to make some magical gestures to prepare the spell he uses to grant wishes, and says, 'Very well, but I should tell you – that was your first wish'."
