As yet un-named Lovecraftian comic

So, I was playing around with some new ways of doing things, and I wanted to get y'alls' take on the results. I went with my usual, minimalist inking style, followed by an even more minimalist flats and shading style, combined with some gloomy, AI-generated backgrounds.

Not sure how I feel about the final product, but it definitely seems like a fairly smooth process.

Anyway, here is the first 10 pages of a Lovecraftian, horror/comedy? comic that may never go any further, or I may flesh it out more.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks!

This is so great! I love the Lovecrafting themes, and what *fine* young ladies they are! :D I dunno if St. Plisskin is gonna be proud of the first one... she was feisty, but didn't seem to get too far. The second one was super cute, and it's nice that the Dweller of the Deep agreed! I have to wonder what the third girl will choose??? :D Beautiful work, you know I love your AI backgrounds! <3

Thanks! I think I'll at least finish out this comic, if not take it further.

Yep, they are cool. Best experience was a school of about 20 of them 8-10 m below us (~35 m) at the outer rim of an atoll of the Maldives. (I leave it to you to translate the distances into feet. ;-)

The actual fate of the second girl is unclear to me - bonkage or dinner?

Hot!

St. Plissken, I thought he was dead, and taller too. Does the first one have a plan other than being food for thought. With the second one, when she sees all, we get to see all as well. What will the third one choose? I think it turned out very well, and hope to see more.

The style looks good to me. especially if it lets you produce pages more easily for you, and faster for us. I really liked the look of the girl hauled off to the vats, her face had a distinctive look, and very pretty.

A Man with Joe Name

Heh heh, thanks for noticing him! I've loved hammerheads since I was a little kid, and I think this one might show up a little later in the story, if I decide to continue it.

Sounds plausible to me!

Nice! About the only thing bothering me was the pretty harmless hammerhead shark together with "the nightmare is beginning" (but that's just the diver in me ;-).

Thomas Dorner

St. Plissken? Is his symbol a snake? ;D Very nice beginning. The backgrounds didn't feel like they fit in the first page, but after that, I stopped noticing and just enjoyed the story. I think the techniques are serviceable at least.

I was assuming a contemporary setting so St. Plissken threw me off a bit. In my headcanon, Deep Ones and snake races are cold-blooded, so having sex with mammals pushes them into sexual overdrive.
