Crappens Mailbag for 4/5/16

There's so much Bravo to discuss this week, but we're still going to get some questions in.  Leave yours in the comments section below!

Crappens Mailbag for 4/5/16

Comments

For each of my boos: Based on Bethaney's criticism off Jules thin bod, what are your two top least aware comments from the housewives of New York?

Lori

2 Questions - Ben - Would you rather spend an evening with David Beador laying in a coffin in OC couples counseling or a David Foster sing-a-long where you can't sing? and Ronnie - Best Buy called and you've been forced into the indentured gay servitude of a Bravo Housewife - What service can you provide (choreographer, stylist, solar fat treatments etc..) and which housewife is best suited for your talents?

Oliver Haskins

As we can all kind of piece together, much of the drama between the Housewives happens off-camera or because of what someone is saying on camera and not in private. Because the cast can’t break the 4th wall and acknowledge that they are making a TV show they have to find odd ways to bring up things they are angry about. For example, I think Rinna was more “enraged” that Yolanda missed Erika’s dinner party not because she hung out with Kim & Brandy but because she once again got out of filming. Or Eileen getting SO PISSED that LVP was talking about her affair on national TV but couldn’t really come out and say that is why it bothered her. My question is do you think there will come a time on Bravo where more acknowledgement of the cameras & show will be allowed? If so, how many seasons away from that kind of change do you think we are? Currently the cast is able to address their off-camera issues on WWHL, their blogs, and at the Reunions but not on the show itself, which ironically makes it less “real". (Also, for an example of a show that does allow acknowledgement of the cameras see MTV’s Teen Mom, who changed the format recently to include the producers being on camera and comments about filming throughout the show.) Thanks - love you guys! Erica

I have one question and one comment for you guys. Question: Ben, did you know Mindy Kaling when you were both at Dartmouth? Comment: I recently listened to your "Munchausen Hunters International" episode (#268) and I thought it was hilarious when you brought up Rebecca Demornay and wondered what she's been up to, because I had just seen an episode of Law and Order: SVU guest starring Rebecca Demornay as a lawyer with Munchausen. Cheer guys, love your show!

From Ruth, who messaged us: Do you think LVP will quit if these bitches are actually successful in their unveiling of her "manipulation" of drama? Heart you guys. Ruth

My friend Maggie was just diagnosed with lymes disease. She is an avid listener due to my badgering and could really use some "advice" from you guys in Yo-Yo voice to really teach her how to get better. As her health advocate it is much appreciated.

Hello guys! Have you ever considered having a contest for your number one fan of the podcast to be a guest cohost for a very special episode? If so, I would like to nominate myself. Thank you for considering me!

Lauren Grabowski

If the Housewives casts competed as a team against each other in a Big Brother/Survivor style competition, which city do you think would win?

Michael Horn

Would you rather be Patricia's butler or Kathryn and t-rav's nanny? You are also 'ethnic' in this scenario.

Catherine

Hi guys - hope you found my question that I posted in last week's mailbag (insert goat noise here). This week I don't have a questions as much as a request for some throwback WWC: Madison Hildebrand's laugh. Martin Lawrence Bullard shopping at Fresh & Easy, and maybe a "smells like?" redux. Thanks for indulging me!
